Students will have a homeroom teacher that they will have for the morning meeting and end of the day routine. During the day, the four teachers will rotate to each class to teach a different subject (Reading, Writing, Math, and Science/Social Studies). The remote and in person students will follow the same schedule. During each block, remote students will have a combination of live instruction and independent practice for the content area.

Beginning and End of Day Procedures
Student Drop Off - Student drop off begins at 8:10. Parents can arrive sooner but students should remain in their cars until the doors to the school open. We do not have supervision before this time.
Student Pick Up - Student pick up begins at 2:40. In order to limit large groups congregating, parents will remain in their cars for pick up this year. Staff will come to the cars, identify the parent, and bring the student out to the car.
Bus Students - Bus assignments were mailed on September 9th. This year, bus students must be picked up or dropped off at a home address. Any questions changes should be directed to the district business manager, Cortney Keegan: ckeegan@douglasps.net.
Changes in Routine - Just like in the past, if your child will be going home a different way than normal, please send a note into school. For the first day of school, if your child is going to be a car rider in the afternoon, we are asking you to send a note so that everyone ends up in the right place.
Technology
Parent Welcome Email - By September 15th, each parent should receive a welcome email from your child’s homeroom teacher. This email will contain a welcome, Google Classroom and student login information, and a schedule of what to expect during the phase in days.
Access to Google Classroom - Each Google Classroom will be set up and ready to go by September 14th. Once you have your school issued device and login information, you can log in and explore prior to the first day of school to acclimate yourself to the layout.
Tech Support - If you have questions about where to find something within the Google Classroom, whether an assignment was submitted, or what time a Zoom meeting will be, you should contact the classroom teacher. If you have questions about the device not working properly or login issues you should contact the Help desk
Help Desk: helpdesk@douglasps.net.
