Douglas Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Diana Landry as the district’s new School Business and Operations Manager. With more than 15 years of combined experience in school financial leadership and business management, Diana brings strategic insight, financial acumen, and a collaborative spirit to the role.

Most recently serving as Senior Business Manager at Central Source, Inc., Ms. Landry provided fiscal leadership to multiple Massachusetts charter schools, overseeing monthly financial reporting, grants management, procurement compliance, and DESE reporting. Prior to that, Ms. Landry was the Director of Finance and Human Resources at the Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School, where she led budgeting efforts, implemented internal controls, managed multi-million-dollar operating budgets, and provided oversight for facilities, transportation, IT, and personnel operations.

A graduate of Nichols College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Diana has spent her career aligning fiscal responsibility with student-centered outcomes. Her leadership has been instrumental in guiding schools through audits, state reporting, grant management, and organizational restructuring.

Douglas Public Schools is also pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Buck as the district’s new Director of Special Education and Student Support Services. With over sixteen years of experience in the field of special education, Kate Buck brings a deep commitment to student advocacy, inclusive practices, and collaborative leadership. Currently serving as Special Education Coordinator for both the middle and high schools in Douglas Public Schools, she has built a career focused on ensuring that all students, regardless of ability, have meaningful access to curriculum and school community life. Her approach is grounded in professionalism, compassion, and a student-centered philosophy, empowering learners to reach their fullest potential.

Throughout her career, she has held key roles including Behavior Specialist, Team Chair, Learning Center Coordinator, and Special Education Coordinator. In these positions, she has designed and implemented individualized programs, supervised multidisciplinary teams, led IEP and discipline meetings, and ensured alignment with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. She has also collaborated closely with administrators on matters of student discipline, placement, and due process, contributing to systemic improvements and successful outcomes.

A graduate of Fitchburg State College, she holds a Master of Education in Special Education Moderate Disabilities with a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis, along with undergraduate and postgraduate certifications in the same field. Her extensive background spans public school districts and collaborative educational settings, including Framingham, Natick, and Northborough.
